Blending![]() ChemRite CoPac has invested in a variety of state-of-the-art blending equipment. We are capable of blending products with a wide range of viscosities, specializing in liquid, lotion, crème or paste products. Each of our customized mixing vessels are made of 316L stainless steel and are equipped with varying speeds, sweeps, turbines, mixers, homogenizers and eductors to handle the mixing demands of even the most complex formula. Every blend tank is tri-ported so that additionally needed blending equipment can be “looped” into the system. Currently, ChemRite has the capability to produce batch sizes ranging from 300 gallons to 5,000 gallons of either single phase or multiple phase formulations. Mix rooms at ChemRite are pressurized and contain their own HVAC system with hepa-filters, creating maximum environmental control. Our processes and procedures provide the highest safeguards against issues relating to potential bacterial and product cross contamination, insuring the integrity of every production batch. Each mix room is meticulously cleaned and sanitized daily in accordance with FDA regulations. Precise sanitization procedures are also followed with each piece of blending equipment, utensils, hoses, fittings, and stainless steel transfer lines. During the blending process, we accurately adhere to pre-approved, validated batch slips and mixing instructions. A two step authorization process is followed prior to each ingredient being added to the batch. First, every ingredient is measured, weighed and signed off on by a mixing technician. It is then verified by a second pre-authorized ChemRite staff member. Because we mix by weight, not by volume, we can easily translate a 300 gallon run to 5,000 gallons without altering the properties of the formula. Each scale is regularly calibrated to guarantee accurate weights. In addition, each mixing vessel is equipped with load cells linked to digital scale readers, which are monitored to serve as further verification of each ingredient addition according to approved batch specifications. At intervals pre-determined by the customer, batch samples are taken to our quality lab for inspection. The quality control department makes sure that each batch meets pre-approved customer quality specifications. Only when the batch passes quality inspection is it transferred to the production line. These controlled procedures minimize any possibility for error during the blending process and serve as a guarantee that you will consistently receive a superior quality product. |
